{"id":353,"date":"2007-06-11T17:55:50","date_gmt":"2007-06-12T00:55:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.red-sweater.com\/blog\/353\/killer-mac-os-x-apps-for-2007"},"modified":"2007-06-12T01:17:17","modified_gmt":"2007-06-12T08:17:17","slug":"killer-mac-os-x-apps-for-2007","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/redsweater.com\/blog\/353\/killer-mac-os-x-apps-for-2007","title":{"rendered":"Killer Mac OS X apps for 2007"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last night at the <a href=\"http:\/\/sfmacindie.com\/\">SF Mac Indie<\/a> party, I met a lot of great people, and put the face to the name of many people I&#8217;ve come to know fairly well through the web and email.<\/p>\n<p>\nI finally got a chance to meet <a href=\"http:\/\/www.niallkennedy.com\/\">Niall Kennedy<\/a>, whose takes on technology I&#8217;ve learned are just as interesting in person as they are in his regular, detailed blog entries (and podcast!).\n<\/p>\n<p>\nI learned from Niall that Marc Andreessen recently <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.pmarca.com\/\">started blogging<\/a>, offering his valuable opinions about the tech industry, informed no doubt by his important role in the early development of the web &#8220;experience.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\nAmong Marc&#8217;s earliest entries is one in which he identifies <a href=\"http:\/\/www.red-sweater.com\/marsedit\/\">MarsEdit<\/a> as one of the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.pmarca.com\/2007\/06\/the_ideal_os_x_.html\">Killer Mac OS X Apps for 2007<\/a>. Whoo! This makes me feel proud to be the new caretaker of this awesome application, and I&#8217;m sure <a href=\"http:\/\/inessential.com\/\">Brent<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/gusmueller.com\/\">Gus<\/a> probably feel great about it, too. (I&#8217;ll have to ask them at <a href=\"http:\/\/upcoming.yahoo.com\/event\/203601\/\">Buzz&#8217;s party<\/a> in an hour or so).\n<\/p>\n<p>\nIf MarsEdit is <em>killer<\/em> today in 2007 &#8211; I can&#8217;t wait to read how Marc and others regard it in 2008!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last night at the SF Mac Indie party, I met a lot of great people, and put the face to the name of many people I&#8217;ve come to know fairly well through the web and email.
