April 20th, 2007MarsEdit 1.1.8 continues the steady progress of the product with a number of bug fixes and usability enhancements:
- Make sure newly added custom tags items show up in popup menu
- Follow HTTP redirects when autodetecting
- Improve reliability of category syncing by limiting concurrent server requests
- Improve unicode blog support by defaulting to “Don’t Encode HTML Entities”
- Improved keyboard navigation of posts and blogs lists
- Add “extended” content to default preview template
- LiveJournal specific:
- Add auto-detection for LiveJournal.com blog addresess
- Blogger specific:
- Enable support for new enclosure support
- Drupal Specific
- Fix to properly support MovableType-style categories
- Metaweblog specific (e.g. SquareSpace)
- Fix category list retrieval

Anyway to change order of tags (alphabetical ?) as tags get unwieldly when need to scroll and look.

Hi Kevin – can you clarify what you mean by the order of tags? Do you mean the categories in the drawer? Or are you referring to HTML markup tags?

Ah yes – the third possible meaning of “tags” in MarsEdit :)
Thanks for this suggestion. I’m going to be revisiting tags in general soon so I will keep this idea in mind. It makes sense to me that they shouldbe alphabetically ordered.
