A Year Of Martian Sweaters

February 23rd, 2008

Somehow I managed to let yesterday pass by without remarking on the momentousness of the day. February 22, 2007 was the day Red Sweater acquired MarsEdit. I can’t believe it’s already been a year. Time has just flown by.

It’s been a lot of work, but when I compare version 1.1.2, which I acquired, to the latest release, it’s clear to me that the work is paying off. Coincidentally, the latest release is 2.1.2. How about that? I “lapped” the odometer, so to speak.

What will the next year bring? Perhaps by February, 2009, I’ll be remarking on all the progress that added up to what we know and love in 3.1.2!

I’ve totally enjoyed watching your progress with MarsEdit — it’s better even than I hoped for. Thanks so much for taking care of the app and her users.

Spoken like a true city-boy who doesn’t drive much. I think you mean you rolled over the “odometer”. Unless this is some indy-software reference, your little club has too many inside jokes for me to keep up on!

Congrats on a year, I also can’t believe it! It’s almost time to make your next high-profile acquisition. Pretty soon, it’ll be time for Apple to acquire RedSweater, and everything will have come full-circle!

Thanks Brent! Not a day goes by I don’t appreciate the great head start you gave me with MarsEdit’s features and functionality.

Will – yeah – I meant odometer :) I am fixing it now.

And Apple acquiring Red Sweater? I think you have that backwards.

    Congratulations!

It certainly is an incredible application. Looking forward to 3.1.2 although I’ve no idea how you could make it better – but that’s you job, not mine :-)

    Keep up the good work,

With version 3.14, perhaps you’ll have come full circle… ;-)

Richard: Hah! Good one. Ya nerd :)
