MarsEdit 5.4 is now available on the MarsEdit site and on the Mac App Store.

This update adds support for macOS’s standard “Versions” document history, improves the Share Extension to support sending text to MarsEdit, and includes a number of bug fixes across the rich text and plain text editors.

Complete list of changes for this release:

• Standard macOS “Versions” now work as expected with “Revert to” menu item
• The “Send to MarsEdit” share extension now supports sending text to MarsEdit
• Fixed a bug that removed images from Tumblr posts published with Micro Post panel
• Fixed a couple syntax coloring bugs affecting Markdown in the plain text editor
• Fixed a bug that allowed styled text to be pasted into the Find & Replace text fields
• Fixed an issue that could cause a drawing glitch in the plain text editor after deleting text
• Fixed a flash of white when opening a post in Rich Text editor in Dark Mode
• Improved handling of WordPress permission errors when the blog is not English language
• Restored animation when closing the Options side panel
